Mariachi Herencia de México & Elgin Symphony Orchestra
The Historic tradition of mariachi music originated in cities such as Guadalajara and Mexico City. As the ever-evolving genre’s influence spread, it reached Chicago and birthed the Mariachi Herencia de México. The 2x Latin GRAMMY®-nominated band has issued five chart topping albums and has performed all across the North American continent paving the way for a new generation of mariachi musicians.

Latin Fire
A passion-filled, energetic celebration of Latin American orchestral hits paired with the firework performances of acclaimed Costa Rican trumpeter José Sibaja and vocalist Mónica Abrego. Sibaja, who is lead trumpet of the renowned Boston Brass, has recorded with such artists as Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Celia Cruz and has performed on television at the MTV awards, Grammy Awards, and Saturday Night Live, among many others. Featuring “Bésame mucho,” “Estrellita,” popular selections from Carmen, and other Latin American favorites.
Holiday Spectacular at the Raue
Celebrate the holidays with your favorite scenes from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and other holiday favorites such as Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride and Christmas all with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra and the Elgin Master Chorale! With any luck, we may have a special visitor from the North Pole as well…

As Halloween shadows begin to fall, join the Elgin Symphony Orchestra for an early evening of spooky classics. Night on Bald Mountain, Danse macabre, music from Psycho, and more. The music will be scary, but prices aren’t: $8 for students and $20-35 for adults.
