2024 Volunteer of the Year: Lois Myers-Bauer

Longtime ESO volunteer Lois Myers-Bauer was named Volunteer of the Year at the ESO’s Fanfare Gala on Sunday, May 19.

Lois was recognized in front of a crowd of more than 100 ESO supporters for her many contributions of time and talent to the ESO over five decades. Lois started volunteering with the Elgin Symphony League in 1973 and has held many positions with the League. She is most known for her beautiful floral arrangements on the Hemmens Cultural Center stage at each of our concerts and our events, and for the lovely bouquets provided to our guest soloists.

Lois was presented the award by ESO CEO Marc Thayer and Fanfare co-chairs Christen Harvey and Alexis Alm.
