Elgin Symphony Orchestra’s Día de los Muertos concert on Nov. 2 celebrates loved ones on Day of the Dead, All Souls’ Day
The Elgin Symphony Orchestra will present a special concert on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at The Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin. The event is being held in partnership with Gail Borden Public Library and the City of Elgin, and will feature José Carlos Díaz singing favorites like Sabor a mi and La Llorona, plus music from Latin America including Sobre las olas and Huapango. This concert celebrates Day of the Dead and All Souls’ Day by commemorating loved ones who have passed. Elgin's own BFH dance ensemble also joins the ESO in this unique collaboration.
Tickets are $25, and $5 for students. The ESO offers free youth tickets for children age 17 and under with a paid adult ticket. Call the ESO Box Office at 847-888-4000 for more information about this program.
