AUDITION LOCATIONS

Elgin Academy,

Directions and parking information will be sent to registered candidates.

REGISTRATION

Deadline to register is 2 weeks before the audition.

To register, send a one-page resume and a deposit check for $50.00 made out to the Elgin Symphony Orchestra.

Your deposit check will be returned to you:
A) when you check in for the preliminary auditions or
B) you cancel in writing more than 48 hours before the audition.

MISC. NOTES

Preliminary round
• Feel free to tune or play a few notes before beginning.
• Please play your concerto until the Committee cuts you off. Then play the list of excerpts in the order above until the   Committee cuts you off.
• Music will be provided, but candidates may use their own music.

Finals will be on the same day. Please be prepared to stay all day.

If any position is won by an ESO member, the resulting vacancy may be offered.

Audition order will be determined at check in. Your check-in time will be assigned when we receive your deposit check.

All candidates will be required to demonstrate legal eligibility to accept work
before taking the audition.
